Square Enix released a new batch of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined screenshots, and many of them offer near 1:1 comparisons showing how the remake recreates moments from the original game and 3DS release. There are also a number that highlight characters we'll journey alongside in the JRPG.
First, here are some screenshots comparing the Dragon Quest VII Reimagined to the original PlayStation game and the 3DS release. We get to see Pilchard Bay and a major story beat.

The English voice actors are also all confirmed for them. Here’s who we’ll hear:

It originally debuted on the PlayStation. Then 13 years after that, a 3DS remake appeared. Two years after that, it showed up on mobile devices in Japan.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 5, 2026. It is also on the PS1 and 3DS worldwide.
