Doctor Whoended its latest run on a massive cliffhanger, as Ncuti Gatwa's 15th Doctor reached his regeneration period. It's that regeneration that caught fans' attention, as the Doctor now sports the face of Billie Piper— better known to Doctor Who fans as Rose Tyler. It's a cliffhanger that may or may not be followed up on, since the BBC recently ended its co-production deal with Disney and put Doctor Who out to competitive tender. A former writer argues that the cliffhanger should be skipped over, using an extremely popular soap opera as a reference.
