Shubhi Joshi told in an interview to Filmigyaan that she was dating a boy after Splitsvilla 15. When asked if this boy is now in Bigg Boss, she agreed. Shubhi said that the boy himself went ahead and impressed her and repeatedly expressed that she is special to him. There was a deep connection between the two and they had made it clear that they liked each other. According to Shubhi , "He used to say things like- 'you are special', we were very clear that we like each other and we are developing feelings, he kept leading me on. He was the one putting in all the effort and not me."

Shubhi further revealed that once she went on a drive with her friend. The same friend told her that the boy was constantly messaging her too and asking to meet. When Shubhi asked her special friend to show the messages about this, the truth came out. After this, when Shubhi questioned the boy, he made an excuse and said that he knew that their relationship would not move forward, so he deliberately messaged her friend to hurt her. Recalling the boy's words, she said, "He told me- 'I deliberately texted your friend because it wasn't working out between us, so I wanted to hurt you so that you feel bad about it." Hearing this statement, fans believed that Shubhi was directly pointing towards Awez Darbar.
