Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Cast Adds Godzilla x Kong Star

Paramount+ has unveiled the newest series regular, who will be joining the cast of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. Since its debut in 2025, the sequel series’ first installment received an approval rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Who is joining Dexter: Resurrection Season 2?

Downton Abbey and Legion star Dan Stevens has officially joined Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 to play the role of a serial killer named The Five Borough Killer. Besides the Godzilla x Kong star, it has also been previously confirmed that Succession star Brian Cox has been tapped to play another serial killer called The New York Ripper.

The character description of The Five Borough Killer reads, “A serial killer who, much like Zodiac, taunts the police with phone calls threatening the murder of innocent citizens. When he follows through with the awful deeds…the city and the police are terrorized.”

Dexter: Resurrection stars Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall as he reprises his iconic role as Dexter Morgan. The ensemble cast also includes Uma Thurman as Charley, David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Harrison, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera, and James Remar as Harry Morgan. The crime drama is executive-produced by showrunner Clyde Phillips, with Marcos Siega to direct and produce. In addition to leading the cast, Hall is also serving as an executive producer, along with Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. It is a production by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios.

The original series ran on-air for eight seasons from 2006-2013. Besides Hall, the show also starred Jennifer Carpenter and John Lithgow. During its original run, it earned multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations as well as a Peabody Award, with Hall taking home a Golden Globe in 2010 for his leading performance.
