Natural Born Killers is not the only road movie from the mid-1990s that speeds across a twisted version of the United States with sex and death spilling out of the backseat. But between two films, it is the one that impressed film critic Roger Ebert, who gave a highly praised, four-star review to the Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis-led romantic crime thriller. Although they have plenty in common, 1995's The Doom Generation got an abysmal zero stars from Ebert, who hated that it was overloaded with vulgarity and violence.
