Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) came very close to leaving the Emmerdale village to start her new life with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) but obviously, something went wrong.

The character decided to leave Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) once Billy confirmed that he was the one who attacked him and put him in hospital. The massive problem with that? Joe wasn’t responsible.

The person who caused Billy’s brain bleed was actually Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill). He was in the depot trying to stop mate Steve (Jason Done) from doing the place over, and Billy simply got in their way.

With Dawn unaware of the truth, she’s been busy plotting to leave her soon-to-be husband, believing he’s a violent liar.

Dawn and Billy aimed to leave the Dales for Spain. They had fake passports created by Ruby and Caleb Miligan (Beth Cordingly and William Ash), who are helping the couple because they’re also keen to see Joe lose everything.

It was going so well. Joe and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) had plans to leave for Prague today for the stag do, and Billy and Dawn were going to make their escape once they had gone.

After a quiet conversation about making their move, Dawn and Billy were interrupted when Graham arrived back at Home Farm.

Nightmare. Why was he there? And how much of the chat did he hear?

An anxious Billy and Dawn were led to a field by Graham. There, Joe announced his surprise – a joint stag and hen do event of clay pigeon shooting.

It seemed as though Joe was totally oblivious as to what Billy and Dawn had been up to, but the former couple weren’t 100% sure. As the afternoon unfolded, Joe and Graham kept making comments that left Billy and Dawn questioning whether they had walked right into a trap.

With Dawn’s desperation growing, she began to panic about what may happen next if she didn’t take action.

Her gun in hand, Dawn loaded it up and pointed it at Joe.

Is she going to pull the trigger?
