Isekai are usually, for better or for worse, the most talked-about titles of each anime season. Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly difficult to find isekai series that aren't predictable and don't overuse the genre's worst tropes. But for fans who thought they'd seen it all, Crunchyroll's new isekai anime might be the strangest and most original take on the genre to date.
