When the medical drama's first batch of interns were introduced in the pilot episode— also known as the "MAGIC" crew composed of Cristina, Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl), George O'Malley (T.R. Knight), Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), and the eponymous Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo)— Oh's cutthroat Dr. Yang was immediately the most divisive of the bunch. By the time she left in season 10, though, Cristina was undoubtedly one of the most popular characters in the entire series.
