Colman Domingo talks about Euphoria and more during SNL monologue
Colman Domingo recently appeared on SNL in his hosting debut and took a playful dig at the Euphoria fandom.
Domingo started his monologue by giving viewers a hint at where they might know him from. He said, “I have been an actor since the 90s. So, you may be sitting here thinking, ‘Where do I know him from?’ And it’s probably because I’ve been in a lot of different things. You know, Fear the Walking Dead, Four Seasons, Lincoln, Sing Sing. I was Carly in iCarly. I was inside the C-3PO suit in Star Wars. And I am also your uncle.”
The actor went on to roast some Euphoria fans by calling them “creepy” and adding, “The point is, I’m practically in everything, like raisins at a Caucasian cookout. I love how I can always guess what people know me from. You know, if you’re a Latin bro, I’m like, ‘Oh, Fear the Walking Dead.’ But if it’s a girl under 20 or a creepy dude over 30, that’s Euphoria.”
Domingo plays the role of Ali Muhammad on Euphoria and recently returned in Season 3. The show’s third season debuted on April 12 but has so far struggled to impress critics and many fans. Although its previous seasons have gone on to achieve satisfactory scores on Rotten Tomatoes, Season 3 has earned an average score of 44 percent based on the critic reviews. On the Popcornmeter, viewers have given a score of 54 percent to Season 3.
