Clint Eastwood’s Sleeper Hit Follow-Up to ‘Gran Torino’ Is Climbing Up the Global Streaming Charts

The legendary Clint Eastwood's decades-long partnership with Warner Bros. has resulted in some genuine classics. It has also produced major blockbusters such as Gran Torino and American Sniper. But one of Eastwood's most underrated dramas of the last few years is both a box office and critical hit. The Mule debuted theatrically in 2018, earned a truck-load of money, but didn't quite have the sort of cultural impact that Gran Torino did a decade prior. Both movies shared similar themes, and were written by Nick Schenk. However, The Mule became an instant hit on Netflix's global charts following its debut in South America recently.
