Chelsea ‘bomb squad’ member Axel Disasi has explained why he snubbed an approach from West Ham in the summer transfer window.
Disasi has reportedly been told to eat alone and use seperate toilets after Chelsea failed to offload him before deadline day on September 1.
The 27-year-old could’ve joined West Ham on loan, with the east London club identifying him as the perfect replacement for Nayef Aguerd.
West Ham boss Graham Potter was keen to get the deal done and it looked like the Hammers were set to pay a £5m fee and cover his wages.
Chelsea were open to a deal too – but it fell through as the player himself did not want to move to the London Stadium on loan – with West Ham eventually bringing in Igor Julio instead.

Disasi has explained that he snubbed West Ham – as well as an approach from AFC Bournemouth – because he had his heart set on joining Monaco.
The defender played for the Ligue 1 club for three years from 2020 to 2023 but for whatever reason, a potential second stint also did not materialise, possibly because Monaco wouldn’t pay the £5m fee or cover his wages.

‘In the period between the approaches from Bournemouth and West Ham, Monaco arrived and that hit me emotionally,’ Disasi told French outlet Le Media Carre.
‘I had three incredible years at Monaco. When they came in, all the memories came back. Monaco is home.
‘I hoped that Chelsea would find a solution to allow me to leave on loan. I pushed until the last minute to go to Monaco.’

Disasi earns £80,000-per-week at Stamford Bridge, according to Capology.
Chelsea paid Monaco £38.5m to sign Disasi back in 2023 and the centre-back is under contract in west London until the summer of 2029.
Disasi, who has five international caps for France, has made a total of 61 appearances for Chelsea to date.
Before being frozen out at Chelsea, Disasi was a popular member of a popular member of the club’s French-speaking cohort, including Malo Gusto, Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana.
Disasi is now being linked with a move to Besiktas, with the Turkish summer transfer window open until September 12.
He is not the only player who has been told to eat alone and use seperate toilets at Chelsea with Raheem Sterling and David Datro Fofana given the same treatment.
Disasi has not been named in a single matchday squad for Chelsea so far this season.
He spent time out on loan at Aston Villa last season after joining them in early February.
