Céline Dion has dropped her biggest hint yet that she’s getting ready to return to live performing.

The five-time Grammy winner has been taking time out of the spotlight in the last few years, since being diagnosed with the neurological disorder stiff-person syndrome, which has dramatically affected her ability to sing.

However, Céline stunned the world in 2024 when she delivered an incredible live performance as part of the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, appearing at the top of the Eiffel Tower.

In the last few days, fans have been speculating that she has something else planned in the French capital, after posters were spotted with lyrics emblazoned with Céline lyrics all over Paris.

Variety later claimed that Céline would be making her musical comeback with a residency in Paris later this year at the city’s La Défense arena.

The French-Canadian outlet La Presse alleged that Céline would be giving two performances a week at the venue, throughout September and October, which would be her first live shows since 2020.

Céline herself has remained tight-lipped on the rumours so far, but did share a cryptic Instagram post on Monday, depicting herself in Paris at different stages throughout her life.

“Je ne sais pas comment te dire…” she captioned the post, which roughly translates to: “I don’t know how to tell you…”

HuffPost UK has contacted Céline Dion’s team for comment.

The My Heart Will Go On singer had originally scheduled six shows at the La Défense arena for her Courage World Tour, which were supposed to have taken place in 2020.

While these dates were initially postponed due to the Covid pandemic, she eventually cancelled the shows altogether due to her ongoing struggles with stiff-person syndrome.

“I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%,” she said at the time. “It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.”

Céline herself has made no secret of her hopes to get back to live performing in the future.

In 2024, she told the BBC she was hopeful she could do another residency in Las Vegas, assuring fans: “I’ll be on stage.”

Prior to that, Céline insisted that “even if I have to crawl” she would eventually perform live again, “not just because I have to, or because I need to”.

“It’s because I want to,” she added. “And I miss it.”
