Since it premiered last year, The Celebrity Traitors has wowed fans with the calibre of famous contestants that it’s been able to book.

Indeed, this year’s series alone features award-winning actors, chart-topping musicians and some of the most popular comedians working in the UK right now.

And it seems that A-listers are already queueing up to take part.

Last week, Andrew Garfield told Digital Spy that he’d be well up for joining a future season of The Celebrity Traitors, though he’s not totally convinced he’d do well in the castle.

“I would love to do it,” he enthused, but noted: “It’s a lot, it’s a big experience, I think there’s also stories coming out about how hard it was and it’s a long time.”

Andrew claimed: “I don’t think I could be able to last as a Traitor, I think I would lose my mind. I don’t think I have that level of grit and determination, I think I’d feel too bad. I love the game, but I would love to be Faithful.”

Then, there’s former Doctor Who and House Of The Dragon star Matt Smith, who told Capital Buzz: “If I were on that show, I’d like to be a Traitor. That’s the funner part, isn’t it?”

Earlier this year, the BBC announced it had renewed both the regular version of The Traitors and its celebrity counterpart until at least 2030.

That means that after this year’s series, there are at least three more star-studded versions of the Bafta-winning reality show in the pipeline.

Several stars have been vocal about turning down The Celebrity Traitors, including Ricky Gervais, who had concerns about more prolific names becoming suspects first, and Richard Osman, who claimed he “couldn’t bear” the thought of being a Faithful.

Anna Maxwell Martin, meanwhile, admitted that she declined to go on the show for the simple reason she “want to be in bed by 8pm”, and Peter Capaldi was also approached, but chose not to take part due to the show’s huge profile.
