Celebrity Big Brother & Couples Therapy Star Strips Down & Gets Caged in PETA Protest

A Celebrity Big Brother and Couples Therapy star recently stripped and got inside a cage as a gesture of protest against Petco’s bird sales. The 32-year-old has joined PETA to stop Petco from selling birds.

Courtney Stodden recently took part in a PETA protest dressed as a bird. Her outfit consisted of a painted thong and pasties, with her entire body colored in yellow and blue. She also wore a pair of wings. Stodden’s body art featured red marks, intended to resemble bloodstains of a caged bird.

In a recently uploaded video on X by TMZ, Stodden said, “This is a wake-up call for Petco to stop selling birds. PETA has exposed Petco suppliers and they’re stacked on top of each other like left in filthy cages by the thousands. Sick birds have their heads ripped off, they’re slammed on the ground to kill them if they’re not useful.”

She further added, “Birds deserve to be free. So these cage birds are deprived of everything that’s natural to them, like flying, finding mates, enjoying the air, just being birds.”

Courtney Stodden shared her opinion on animal rights and bird adoption while dressed as a parrot. Stodden believes that people must adopt a bird if they want to own one, rather than buy one. She then suggested that Petco must seriously look into how animals are treated.

The Couples Therapy star stated, “And this is a wake-up call for Petco and everyone, you know, if you want to have a beautiful animal, a beautiful bird, adopt. Like, don’t shop. This is a wake-up call for Petco.”

However, this is not the first time that Courtney has voiced her protests towards an issue. To protest the use of leather and the harm it causes to animals, she appeared in public with her body painted black. When the interviewer noted that she has taken several unusual things to support animal rights, the 32-year-old star stated, “I don’t think it’s how much further I want to take this. I think it’s how much more do I need to do to help the animals. So whatever that is, I’m gonna do it.”
