Konami released the Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse demo worldwide and confirmed the save data will carry over on the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC if you play on the same platform.
This demo is essentially a slice of the beginning of the game. Konami specifically mentioned the first chapter can be completed. The save file can carry over, if you stick with the same platform. It is a 3GB download on the Switch, 4GB on PC, 5GB on Xbox Series X, and 6GB on PS5. It runs at 60fps on all platforms except the Switch. There, the game is capped at 30fps.

As a reminder, this isn’t the only way to play a Castlevania game for free at the moment. Android and Apple iOS versions of the original Castlevania are free on mobile storefronts in honor of the series’ 40th anniversary. That runs until the end of October 2026.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will come to the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 15, 2026, and the demo is available now.
