Last year, waiting until the last minute to buy tickets for the WNBA All-Star Game was actually a smart strategy. Prices dropped by a whopping 50 percent, settling at just $71. As it turns out, applying that same approach to the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game would have been a costly mistake. Why? Because Caitlin Clark is playing this time around.

As shared by a Clark report page on X, this year’s All-Star Game saw last-minute deals vanish entirely, with entry prices surging to approximately $343 shortly before tip-off.

The last time prices surged was Caitlin Clark‘s rookie year, when the final entry point climbed to $118. Last year, with Clark sidelined by injury and unable to play, prices dropped 50 percent instead. And the year before she even entered the league, the baseline entry fee sat at a modest $30. The pattern could not be clearer. And even Clark noticed it.

During halftime, she told Holly Rowe that she wanted to play hard even though it is the All-Star Game because the fans have spent a big amount to see them play and they deserve to see more action. And fans were quick to spot Caitlin Clark‘s undeniable commercial pull.

“Crazy how marketable the CC-effect has been for the WNBA,” one fan wrote. Another fan, equally direct, added, “Proof that she is driving the whole WNBA success!”

For some fans, the ticket price data served as yet another piece of definitive evidence for their long-standing argument about Clark’s status as the face of the league.

“If that doesn’t tell you that she is the Face of the League, I don’t know what does,” one fan said. Another went even further, “1st year, $88 jump up in price because of CC‼ This year, more than tripled in price from 1st year‼ All because of CC, and they try to claim CC is not the face of the WNBA‼

Some fans also used the moment to push back against what they see as a broader reluctance to give Clark her full credit.

“Yet some say she has not had a huge positive impact on the league,” one fan wrote.

Whether acknowledged or not, the numbers, as it appears, simply do not lie. When people argue that Caitlin Clark has brought unprecedented growth and visibility to the WNBA, there have always been numbers to support it: the ratings, the viewership figures, the attendance records, and every other commercial metric that skyrocketed from the moment she entered the league. And the latest ticket pricing data makes it increasingly difficult to argue that any of it is coincidence.
