From McGriddles to Poppi, several American foodie favourites have been making their way across the pond.
And now another US snack has landed in UK supermarkets – and it’s perfect timing, as the weather starts to brighten up.
The unique product, known as Fruit Riot, features frozen fruit covered in a candy coating, and there are three main staples: Sour Grapes, Crunchy Candy Grapes, and Sour Mango.
According to the company’s social media, the fruit used is flash frozen straight after being picked, which locks in freshness and nutrients. Then, each product is quickly splashed with lemon juice and then rolled in a candy coating.
Online, those who’ve tried the treats say they’re ‘obsessed’ and branded them ‘incredible’.
Where can you buy Fruit Riot?
Brits can now officially get their hands on viral sensation Fruit Riot, which has launched exclusively in Tesco.
The cult US product has been introduced here as part of Tesco’s frozen aisle overhaul.
Specifically, the retailer has revealed that more than 140 new and improved products will be hitting the freezer section ahead of the summer season.
All priced at £5.95, the Fruit Riot range is available for purchase in-store, and it will be online too, although it’s currently showing as out of stock.
Previously, the candy snack had only been stocked at US retailers like Target, Walmart, Costco, and online through platforms like Amazon and Gopuff.
What do reviews say?
A number of taste tests have already appeared online following the launch, with one pair of TikTok content creators sharing they visited three Tesco stores in their hunt for the candy.

Sofia and Arran, who regularly post taste tests on their social media, were hell-bent on finding the new Fruit Riot line, as they’d previously tried the snacks in the US and had become ‘obsessed’ with them.
Giving both the crunch and sour grape bags a go, the pair called the sweets ‘incredible’, noting that if you’re a fan of sour snacks, this was the brand for you.
‘I’m going to eat the whole bag’, Arran added.
However, others found the sweets a bit much.
In a review by @Natania, the price was criticised, with the TikToker saying: ‘I didn’t know how much they were going to be but £6 each! That’s £12 for two packets, they better be good’.
But it was the actual taste test that caused her the most pain…
‘These look interesting!’ the influencer said before biting into one of the crunchy grapes. Appearing visibly overwhelmed, she exclaimed: ‘I can’t do it!’
She went on to explain that the crunchy grapes were ‘really nice’, but she was struggling to bite into them because she has such sensitive teeth.
The sour mix bag, however, was a whole other story.
After attempting to chew on the first sour grape, Natania stated: ‘I can’t hack this. It’s too cold and sour, and there’s just too much going on in my mouth!’
She added: ‘The green apple flavour is also a strong miss for me! It’s way too sour, and I don’t like the flavour’.
What other products are being rolled out at Tesco?
Tesco Frozen Category Director, Naomi Kasolowsk, has stated that the ongoing overhaul, first launched in 2025, marks ‘the biggest change to [Tesco’s] frozen aisle in nearly a decade’.
Included in the 147-product revamp are 11 new Firepit products. The ‘Ready to BBQ straight from the freezer’ range features items such as Beef smash burgers, Tandoori Thigh Fillets and Mango Coconut Lime fish skewers.
Tesco has also launched a new range of frozen gluten-free Finest sausages, and expanded its fish range, introducing products such as Finest Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp, Finest Mediterranean Basa with a Ragu sauce, Finest Smoked Haddock and Leek Rarebit Gratin, alongside Cod and Broccoli Mornay and Pink salmon Florentine.
Frozen herbs are also on the agenda, and when it comes to sweet treats Fruit Riot is among good company. Shoppers can now stock up on Tru Fru products, Nutella frozen doughnuts, and nine new ice cream flavours like Double Dipple Hazelnut and White Chocolate.
