Brazilian Olympic marathon runner Daniel Ferreira do Nascimento has been missing for more than a month, according to his family, with his mother making an emotional public appeal as police continue investigating his disappearance. Nascimento, who represented Brazil in the men's marathon at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, was last seen leaving his home in Paraguaçu Paulista, in the state of São Paulo, at around 7 p.m. local time on June 19, according to his mother, Valdirense de Paula Ferreira.
