In the last 20 years, Brandon Sanderson has quietly become one of the most popular names in the world when it comes to the fantasy genre. For many fans, Sanderson is best known for his work finishing The Wheel of Time books after the passing of Robert Jordan. He even worked on the show before it was canceled after three seasons, but he cited an unpleasant experience working on the series. Another of Sanderson’s popular novels, Mistborn, is officially being adapted into a feature film on Apple TV, and while it’s without a release date right now, Sanderon recently confirmed he’s finished the first draft of the script. Sanderson’s next fantasy book is Blightfall, which he wrote in collaboration with Janci Patterson, which is set to arrive on shelves around the world on September 1.
