Now, the show is mired in another controversy as Bigg Boss 19 makers have been sued for using certain songs without prior permission.

Bigg Boss 19 makers gets sued for Rs 2 crore

As per the latest reports, in Bigg Boss 19's episode 11, a few songs were played that have called for trouble. As per a report in Mid-Day, Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) has issued a notice to Bigg Boss 19 makers - Endemol Shine Indian and Banijay - over the unauthorised use of two songs. The songs in discussion are Katrina Kaif's Chikni Chameli from Agneepath and Dhat Teri Ki Main from Gori Tere Pyaar Main. As per the report, the songs were used without securing the mandatory license and the notice has been sent to the makers. The reports further claim that the songs are licensed by Sony Music India. The public rights of the songs are administered by PPL. Now, the organisation is demanding Rs 2 crore in damages and license fees. Reports further claim that the notice was issued on September 19 in the names of Thomas Gousset, Nicolas Chazarain and Deepak Dhar. A cease and desist order has also been issued restricting the producers to stop using the songs without authorisation.
