Domhnall Gleesonis a truly chameleonic actor who is willing to make bold decisions with the choices he makes and deserves credit for taking artistic risks. Based on his chilling performance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, his compelling dramatic role in Ex Machina, his romantic charisma in Brooklyn, and his authoritative presence in The Revenant, Gleeson seemed like a somewhat unusual choice to lead a mainstream comedy like The Paper.
