Fox’s Baywatch reboot just added another face to its growing lineup of lifeguards and beach newcomers. The series cast a Song Sung Blue star in a heavily recurring role opposite Jessica Belkin.

What to know about the growing cast of the Baywatch reboot

Fox’s Baywatch reboot continues to expand its cast, Deadline reported exclusively. John Beckwith has joined the series in a heavily recurring role opposite Jessica Belkin. He will play Julian, a Ph.D. student on an ocean research team helping Baywatch.

Julian’s storyline notably involves a romantic connection with Belkin’s Charlie after she rescues him. Beckwith previously appeared in Ryan Murphy’s Feud: Capote and the Women and Showtime’s Three Women. He also made his feature film debut alongside Hugh Jackman in Song Sung Blue.

Meanwhile, Stephen Amell stars in the lead role of Hobie Buchannon, now a Baywatch Captain. Belkin plays Charlie Vale, Hobie’s biological daughter who arrives hoping to become a lifeguard. Shay Mitchell portrays Trina, a former lawyer turned full-time lifeguard. Hassie Harrison stars as Nat, a former foster kid turned Olympic athlete.

Additionally, Noah Beck plays rookie lifeguard Luke, coming from a family of firefighters. Thaddeus LaGrone takes on Brad, a Marines veteran returning to Venice Beach. Brooks Nader plays Selene, a rival lifeguard captain with tension against Hobie.

Several original series stars are also returning for the reboot. David Chokachi reprises his role as Cody Madison in a heavily recurring capacity. Erika Eleniak returns as guest star Shauni McClain, now a Santa Monica city councilwoman. Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard will also guest star as their original characters.

Furthermore, the cast features several newcomers to scripted television. Livvy Dunne makes her professional acting debut as junior lifeguard Grace. Mary McDonnell plays Gayle, Hobie’s mother and Charlie’s grandmother, in a recurring role. Matt Nix serves as showrunner alongside premiere episode director McG. Fox Entertainment and Fremantle are co-producing the series for a January 2027 premiere.
