If your wardrobe is in need of a refresh and you want to stock up on a choice of few pieces before temperatures drop, then you need to head to Topman.

Its latest new-in edit covers everything you want from autumn dressing: versatile basics, chunky knits, statement jackets, and tailored trousers you can wear a multitude of ways.

Plus, its newest items work equally as well together as they do with what’s already hanging up in your wardrobe. Starting with the basics, this 3 pack classic fit t-shirt is the easy update to a tired T-shirt drawer. Made from 100% cotton with a simple crew neck and regular fit design, they’re the perfect layer beneath jumpers and jackets.

Speaking of jumpers, this classic fit plaited fisherman knit jumper in teal is a welcome colourful break from the grey and black colours that dominate knitwear this time of year, and the wool blend means it’s super soft and will definitely keep you warm. If you prefer something a little more neutral, you can also find it in an oatmeal colourway, too.

Outerwear is also a highlight of Topman’s new collection, and one standout item is this oversized quilted denim jacket, complete with a corduroy collar, a deep, dark blue wash, zip fastening, and spacious pockets. It’s ideal when it’s not quite cold enough for a puffer coat but you still need an extra layer.

Another layering overshirt is this relaxed-fit crop washed cord number, with a slightly cropped length for wearing with high-waisted trousers, and it hits that sweet spot between a shirt and a jacket.

However, if you only buy one jacket this season, make it this faux wool check harrington. Its check pattern makes it a statement, investment piece, but the neutral tones mean it’s easy to pair with white t-shirts, dark jeans, chinos, and pretty much everything else.

It doesn’t just look good; it’s practical too, with elasticated trims to keep wind out, a zip-and-button fastening, and full lining.

On to the bottom half, these Rigid barrel fit jean in clean brown have become a defining jean silhouette across men’s and womenswear this season, and if you’re trying to find trousers that are an alternative to blue jeans, this chocolate brown pair is one to try.

They have the same stiff cotton denim fabric, with belt loops and a curved leg, but a more vintage feel than your classic straight leg, and come in five different washes, including an autumnal burgundy.
