Arctic Annihilation Trailer: Daniel Baldwin Disaster Movie Is Digger Meets The Day After Tomorrow | Exclusive

ComingSoon can exclusively reveal the trailer for Arctic Annihilation. It is an upcoming sci-fi disaster movie from the popular independent production and distribution house, The Asylum.

Arctic Annihilation is releasing this Friday, September 25, 2026. It is directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, best known for directing the Sharknado film series. Meanwhile, Ryan Ebert has penned the screenplay.

The Asylum has also unveiled the official poster of the upcoming movie. It features a haunting shot of the corpse of a woman frozen in a lake. Arctic Annihilation is drawing comparisons to the upcoming Tom Cruise film Digger and to Jake Gyllenhaal’s 2004 film The Day After Tomorrow.

The official synopsis of Arctic Annihilation reads, “As glaciers advance and cities freeze, a team of scientists races against time to build a colossal thermal shield to protect Earth from an encroaching ice age that will plunge the planet into extinction.”

What do we see in the Arctic Annihilation trailer?

The trailer for Arctic Annihilation opens with a massive piece of glacier breaking off and colliding with a highway full of cars. A new report on the background says, “Polar ice shelves are calving en masse, sending giant icebergs into tempered waters.”

The preview then shows researchers discussing the implications of this unexplained natural phenomenon, while government officials also get involved. At one point, an anxious character reveals, “There’s a black hole embedded in the Earth.”

One character says, “It might be pulling energy from the Earth’s core.” Meanwhile, another agrees, “We need to stop these black holes from growing.”

The trailer then shows a montage of the urgency spreading across the country, along with shots of entire cities buried under a thick blanket of snow. The preview also teases some of the most intense, action-packed scenes from the movie.
