Apple TV has become perhaps the best streaming service for fans seeking expertly crafted sci-fi shows. Ted Lasso (starring Jason Sudeikis), the non-sci-fi football comedy, may have been what convinced many fans to subscribe to Apple TV in the first place, but sci-fi hits like Severance (starring Adam Scott) and Foundation (starring Lee Pace) are what has convinced them to stay. At the end of 2024, Apple TV recruited Vince Gillian (creator of Breaking Bad) for its newest sci-fi show, Pluribus, which went on to break all of Severance’s records to become the most-watched Apple TV sci-fi series ever. One of Apple TV’s longest-running sci-fi shows, For All Mankind, is also in the heat of its fifth season, and it’s even been renewed for Season 6, which will serve as the final season.
