2026 has been another breakout year for Anya Taylor-Joy, who continues to prove herself one of the most bankable action/sci-fi stars in the world with roles in the highest-grossing blockbusters. Taylor-Joy starred in the first $1 billion feature film of the year with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and she’s expected to return in the sequel to the film, which likely won’t be released anytime in the next few years. She took her talents to TV to star in one of the most underrated crime thrillers of the year in Lucky, co-starring Timothy Olyphant, which recently wrapped up its first season on Apple TV. The streamer has yet to decide the fate of the show beyond Season 1, but its strong viewership throughout its first season can’t hurt when it comes time to decide a renewal or cancellation.
