Jolie has objected to the request, according to TMZ. She has argued that she has already agreed to provide financial records from 2020 and 2021 and that the additional documents are not relevant to the claims at issue.

Jolie’s objection is connected to Pitt’s 2021 attempt to purchase her interest in Château Miraval. She has alleged that Pitt wanted her to sign a non-disclosure agreement as part of the transaction. Jolie’s lawyers argue that her earlier financial information is not relevant to that allegation and that requiring her to provide additional records would unnecessarily expose private details about her finances.

Pitt’s legal team has sought the records in response to Jolie’s claims that she gave up years of compensation and experienced financial coercion. His lawyers have argued that information about her income could help address those assertions. Pitt has also maintained that he is entitled to the information in Jolie’s tax returns.
