It's a strange time for British media favorites. As the world prepares for a new, live-action Harry Potter series, with HBO's adaptation of all seven novels debuting this Christmas, two of the country's other major IPs are currently without a star. It was announced last week that Doctor Who, following a turbulent partnership with Disney that ended in controversy, was being put out to tender, as any immediate future for the franchise was officially cancelled.
