All TV Shows Renewed in April 2026 (Updated List)

Major networks and streaming platforms officially renewed over a dozen TV shows throughout April 2026. Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video, Fox, HBO, Paramount+, ABC, NBC, FX, CBS, and MGM+ confirmed returning seasons spanning comedies, dramas, reality series, and sci-fi horror shows.

List of all TV shows renewed till April 17, 2026

Canada Shore

Paramount+ renewed Canada Shore, its Canadian spin-off of Jersey Shore, for a second season. Production on Season 2 is expected to begin this summer.

Best Medicine

Fox picked up medical drama Best Medicine, based on ITV’s Doc Martin, for a 12-episode second season. The series premiered to 12.6 million total multi-platform viewers.

Rooster

HBO renewed Steve Carell-led comedy Rooster for Season 2 after it averaged 5.8 million viewers across its first four episodes. Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses created the series.

Welcome to Wrexham

FX and Hulu ordered three more seasons of Welcome to Wrexham, ensuring the docuseries runs through Season 8. Season 5 premieres on FXX and Hulu on May 14.

The Rookie

ABC renewed The Rookie for its ninth season as part of its 2026-27 broadcast lineup. The Nathan Fillion-led police procedural will wrap its current 18-episode season in early May.

Will Trent

ABC also granted Will Trent an early renewal for a fifth season. The series stars Ramon Rodriguez as a Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent.

The Burbs

NBC renewed suburban comedy The Burbs for a second season on its lineup. The show will return as part of the network’s 2026-27 schedule.

Young Sherlock

Prime Video renewed Young Sherlock for a second season, with star Hero Fiennes Tiffin and director Guy Ritchie both returning. The show drew 45 million viewers worldwide within its first 28 days of release.

The Madison

Paramount Network picked up Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison for a second season after record-breaking debut numbers. The show is the latest entry in Sheridan’s Yellowstone franchise.

Beyond the Gates

CBS renewed daytime soap Beyond the Gates for a second season. The series continues to perform strongly on the network’s daytime block.

Law & Order: SVU

NBC renewed Law & Order: SVU alongside other Dick Wolf dramas for the 2026-27 season. The entire One Chicago franchise also received pickups.

MGM+ renewed sci-fi horror series From for a fifth and final season. Creator John Griffin said the show always had five seasons as its goal.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 3, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord Season 2, Love on the Spectrum Season 5, The Office Mexican Remake La Oficina Season 2, and Memory of a Killer Season 2 were all confirmed in the first week of the month.

April 2026 continues to be one of the busiest renewal periods of the year across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms.
