Milestone birthday celebrations are set to be overshadowed in Coronation Street next week when a car accident leaves lives at risk.
Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) takes full advantage of reaching legal drinking age, which results in a heated discussion with DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).
However, there is worse to follow when a car tears through the precinct and promptly crashes.
It comes after George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) spots a stolen car speeding past him, and he is left shocked by the person behind the wheel.
Elsewhere, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) is rocked by a discovery that could change everything for the Platts, and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) makes a confession to Abi Webster (Sally Carman).
It’s set to be a dramatic week on the cobbles, and our handy guide is here to give you a taste of what’s to come.

Monday, September 8
It’s Betsy’s 18th birthday and she’s been out all night. Arriving back for her party, drinks are poured, Betsy raises a toast to the photo of her late mum, Becky Swain, on the side.
As Betsy announces she’s off into town with her mates, Lisa quizzes her about her social life. Pointing out she’s no longer a little girl, Betsy reveals she slept with Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) last night.
In the precinct, Betsy leaves a voice message for Dylan and another for Lisa, but before she can finish, there’s a loud crash as a stolen car hits something. Betsy lets out a scream.
Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) later reveals that they’ve found the stolen car, but somebody has torched it in a bid to cover their tracks.

Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and Abi return from holiday. Kevin’s annoyed to find Carl working at the garage and says he wants him gone by the end of the day.
Still struggling to find the money to pay off Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) after her blackmail threats, Carl tells Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) and Dylan he’s got a job for them.
As Dylan and Brody speed past George in a stolen car, George glances at the driver and is taken aback to see that it’s Dylan.
Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) tells David she’s got a stomach ache, but he’s sceptical and sends her to school. When he moans to Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) about how Lily’s been fighting over some lad and tried to skive off school, Sarah’s concerned.

David’s annoyed to find that Carla Connor (Alison King) has been dumping rubbish in his bin, but his irritation turns to intrigue when he finds a pregnancy test.
Convinced it’s Betsy’s, David shows Sarah, but when she suggests it might be Lily’s, his glee turns to horror.
Friday, September 12
Lisa reels in shock after last night’s events.

With one resident seriously injured in hospital, George reveals to Dylan that he saw him driving the car. Dylan assures him he’s mistaken.
As Abi admits to Carl that she can’t stop thinking about him, she’s bemused to see his phone ring, and the caller ID reveals that it’s Dylan.
Under pressure, Carl admits that Brody and Dylan have been working for him, stealing cars to order. How will Abi react?
David reacts as the owner of the pregnancy test comes forward, but can they keep it under wraps?
