We’re almost at the moment that Emmerdale fans have been salivating over as next week in the Dales, as the dangerous and deadly love triangle between Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) hits a fever pitch.
The scales finally fall from Aaron’s eyes and he realises just how unhinged his husband John is, leading to a bloody showdown with Robert, that not every body is guaranteed to survive.
Elsewhere, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is hit with a fresh wave of guilt at an early ultra-sound scan, while Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) finally learns what happened to Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) and swears revenge.
No, we can barely contain ourselves either…
Monday, September 8
Things finally come to a head with unhinged John, leading to deadly consequences. Robert finally arrives at the cottage, but is left battered and lifeless.
Back in the village and now armed with Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) information about John, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) begs him to help her search for her brother, while at the cottage, Aaron desperately tries to escape, searching the woods for the hatch that he knows will lead him to the truth about Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb). He finds nothing but an enormous gorge and as he turns back, he comes face to face with his bloodied husband.
John desperately tries to stitch together a cover story, but it’s hopeless, Aaron can finally see how psychotic John is. He pleads with him to take him to Mack, but just as John seems to be coming round, Robert appears, sending him spiralling once again. Believing whole heartedly that Aaron planned all of this to reunite with Robert, John wraps his arms around Aaron and jumps into the gorge.

Wednesday, September 10
Robert is horrified as he peers over the edge of the gorge and sees Aaron and John lying motionless below and immediately calls for help, though he’s utterly defeated when nobody believes him that John has been the menace terrorising the village and Aaron’s mum, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) vows that he’ll pay for what happened to him.
Elsewhere, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) surprises Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Charity with an early ultrasound scan. As Charity sees her baby for the first time, she’s hit with a fresh wave of panic.
Later, when Sarah shows Ross Barton (Michael Parr) the scan photo, he struggles to contain his emotion while knowing full well that the baby in the picture might well be his.
Thursday, September 11
Robert is lost in a world of fear at the police station, terrified by the prospect of losing Aaron forever and also that he’ll be sent back to prison for John’s long list of crimes.
Meanwhile, Vinny finally breaks down to Kammy and lets his friend in. Explaining the horror of ‘Mike’s’ extortion and brutal attack, Vinny finally lets it all out. Kammy is both heartbroken and enraged at what his friend has been through and implores Vinny to report what happened to the police, but Vinny can’t bring himself to.
Friday, September 12
Gabby is truly hurt that neither mum Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) nor Kim Tate (Claire King) will be attending her wedding, leaving her with nobody to walk her down the aisle.
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) tells Victoria that following what happened to Aaron, the Dingle’s will have nothing to do with the Sugden’s. Victoria is stung, but when Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) sides with her husband, she’s utterly wounded.
Thirsty for revenge, Kammy signs up to the same LGBTQ+ forum that Vinny met Mike on.
