Alan Ritchson’s Reacher Gets Great Season 6 Renewal News as Fans Wait for 5th Chapter

Reacher has received some great news about its renewal ahead of its Season 5 premiere. The Alan Ritchson-led show has become one of Prime Video’s hottest properties in the past few years.

Reacher has been renewed for a sixth season. Amazon Prime Video revealed that Season 4 of the hit show ranks among Prime’s top 5 most-viewed originals. The latest season of the show, as revealed by the streamer, reached 66 million viewers globally within 28 days.

Peter Friedlander, head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios, commented on the development. He said, “Together with our partners at Paramount Television Studios, we couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey. Reacher is a truly iconic series, and we’re thrilled to be on the ride with this extraordinary cast and crew for Season Six.”

What do we know about Reacher Season 5 so far following the Season 6 renewal news?

Season 4 of Reacher adapted the events of the Lee Child novel Gone Tomorrow. The story followed Reacher as he dealt with the consequences of a chance encounter with a stranger.

The season cast included Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson.

Season 5 is going to follow the events of the book Make Me. The season is currently in production in Toronto. Make Me is the 20th novel in the Jack Reacher book series and was originally published in 2015. While there is no official plot synopsis for the fifth season, the novel may cue viewers in as to what might be in store for the next chapter of Reacher.

Most of the action in Make Me takes place in Mother’s Rest, a small Midwestern town. What is intended to be a brief stop turns into Reacher investigating a dark local mystery. He teams up with Michelle Chang, a former FBI agent turned private investigator searching for her missing partner. Amanda Seyfried has been cast as Chang for Season 5. Additional confirmed cast members include Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand, and Ciara Bravo.

Prime Video has not yet announced a release date for Reacher Season 5.
