Ajay Devgn Says Drishyam: The Conclusion Is Completely Different From Mohanlalâs Film

The official trailer for the much-awaited Drishyam: The Conclusion has finally come out and left viewers excited even more. The Malayalam Drishyam 3 was released a few months ago, giving the tale a fitting conclusion while also raising hints for a possible sequel in the future.

Both the Hindi Drishyam 1 and Drishyam 2 have been accurate adaptations of the original movies. But this time, that changes. Instead of taking the safe and convenient route, the filmmakers have decided to try an alternative path. Riskier but exciting. Instead of revolving the climax of the scene around Malayalam Drishyam 3, they will create their own ending. This was made clear by the star of the movie, Ajay Devgn himself, during the trailer launch of Drishyam: The Conclusion.

He said, "This film is a big challenge for us because Lal sir and Joseph, because the first and second were inspired by the original. But this is the first film that has a completely different script. So, their Drishyam 3 is completely different. Our film is completely different. It's not like we have made some changes. It's completely different." He also said that Drishyam: The Conclusion would be the final part of the franchise.

Ajay Devgn clarified, mentioning that the changes will not be subtle. These would most likely have an impact on the destiny of the characters overall. He further wished for the cast of the Malayalam film to watch the movie, especially Mohanlal. The respect he holds towards him is immense, and his approval would please him.

He continued, "So I want Lal sir and them to see the film because it's nice to get approval that they love this. So, it will make me very happy. So, I am dying to show it to Lal sir."

Drishyam: The Conclusion will be released in theatres on October 2, 2026. This time, aside from the recurring actors such as Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and some others, there are two new stars who have been added to the mix. Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj will be seen playing the roles of a tough crime branch SP and a lawyer, respectively.
