No piece of Star Wars media has gone through more ups and downs than the prequel trilogy. When the prequels first came out, they were infamously hated by fans and critics, with Star Wars: The Clone Wars being seen as the only good thing from the era, but over 20 years later, between people reevaluating the good parts about the prequels and the sequel trilogy being even more divisive, the prequels are now unironically seen as some of the best Star Wars media, and it’s to the point that nearly every new story caters to their fans in some way.
