Historical epics do not always get a second life on streaming unless they have already arrived as cultural events. That is what makes this move interesting. Ridley Scott’s medieval drama had the scale, the cast, and the prestige, yet its theatrical run stopped at about $30.6 million worldwide, far below what a film that size was clearly built to do. It’s now all set to arrive on Hulu.
