9-1-1 just released a stunning promo for the upcoming season that teases a potential apocalypse-level emergency. When 9-1-1 season 9 premieres in October, the firefighters and first responders will have to deal with major emergencies, like they always do, as well as mourning the loss of Captain Bobby Nash, who was killed off the show after contracting a deadly virus while at a biolab. Bobby sacrificed himself to save everyone else, and the crew of the 118 will be dealing with the consequences of that heroic act.
