Since his early days writing 28 Days Later, Alex Garland has been a prominent voice in sci-fi. After collaborating with Danny Boyle, Garland went on to direct some of the best additions to the genre in a long while. Everyone celebrates his directorial debut with Ex Machina – as they rightfully should – but it was his follow-up film that turned into a cult classic.
