David Bowie. There’s the intro. He was David Bowie. He recorded some of the best songs and albums of all time, and a bunch of them have the sort of wild acclaim they deserve. The ideal starting point to demonstrate all this, if you’ve somehow never heard anything by Bowie before (you should get that rock you're living under valued; the space it takes up must be worth a bunch in today’s economy), would probably be The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. No tracks on that one come even close to being skippable, and it’s also hard to call any inch of that album underrated, as a result.
