Directing one great film is already hard. Directing three that feel connected, purposeful, and alive across years is a much rarer achievement. A trilogy can lose control through repetition, over-explanation, bigger budgets, changing actors, changing technology, or a director suddenly forgetting why the first film mattered. But these ones do not because they’re just perfect. Because the directors and probably the producers behind them were relentless.
