One of the things about science fiction, as a genre, is obviously how it looks to the future or investigates technology in one way or another. It doesn’t have to be futuristic, but it often is, or it’s about something that could impact humanity and the way societies might function once enough time has passed. There are also sci-fi stories that take place in alternate timelines, yet that’s a whole other thing. For now, what about sci-fi movies about the future, albeit not just about the future? And movies about the future that are now only partly about the future, compared to how they might've been viewable upon release?
