Atlus announced that we can expect the 4.0 update to arrive for Persona 5: The Phantom X this week, and that will include Manaka “Ange” Nagao and Shoki “Luce” Ikenami as new characters. The patch launches on April 30, 2026. After maintenance, we’ll see new characters arrive and the story continue. More details will arrive during a Persona X-Stream on YouTube at 5am PT/8am ET on April 29, 2026.
Luce will be a Phantom Thief in the game. He uses a Persona called Ghino. He’ll be a Strategist type who deals Bless damage. That is also the four-star unit in this update. Meanwhile, Ange shows up as a Phantom Idol. She will be a five-star character. Her role is Elucidator, and she’ll serve as a Support unit alongside her Persona Euterpe.
Here are the pieces of official art for Ange and Luce.
Ahead of the update, we also got a peek at the new opening and theme song for Persona 5: The Phantom X 4.0. Lyn Inaizumi sings the song “Show Stealer.” That new opening also features Luce prominently.
Here’s the placeholder for the Persona X-Stream 4.0 presentation, which will go over the new characters, story chapters, events, and additions.
Prior to this update, we saw the Persona 5 Royal crossover continue in the mobile game. Goro “Crow” Akechi and his Persona Robin Hood showed up.
Persona 5: The Phantom X is available on PCs and mobile devices, and the 4.0 update arrives on April 30, 2026.
