The Expanse is rightfully touted as one of the best space operas of recent years, but long before it premiered, another incredible sci-fi show of the subgenre laid the groundwork with its brilliant storytelling. While The Expanse remains a prime example of how space operas should be done, the show in question also deserves the same level of appreciation three decades after its release.
