Netflix has quite a penchant for adapting beloved classic movies and shows into modern remakes. Recently, the streamer delivered a shiny new version of Little House on the Prairie, based on the children's novels by Laura Ingalls Wilder, which ran as one of the most popular shows of its day between 1974 and 1983. Earning 6.4 million views in just four days and already winning a second season renewal, there's no doubt that the remake has been a success, even if the show is being review-bombed on aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.
