Robert De Niro's status as a cultural icon doesn't suffer one bit, even when he agrees to star in subpar movies. Such is his goodwill that the two-time Oscar-winner can routinely do films like Dirty Grandpa and The War with Grandpa, and get away relatively scott-free. That's because working in films such as Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, and Goodfellas has earned him a hall pass for life. However, De Niro has also done several movies that fall somewhere in the middle of this wide spectrum. They're neither critically panned box-office bombs, nor are they stone-cold masterpieces.
