After learning all the way back in 1996 that their fanbase would gobble up live-action remakes of their beloved animated productions when they released 101 Dalmatians with Glenn Close stepping into the villainous role of Cruella de Vil. In the years since, the House of Mouse has come out with a slew of similar projects that celebrate its long-running history as one of the best that animation has to offer. While there have been some blunders along the way, like Marc Webb’s 2025 Snow White remake, for the most part, the live-action versions have struck a chord with Disney’s fanbase and driven up box office figures.
