War movies are tough to rate, because the best ones aren’t fun to watch any way. You don’t finish them feeling pumped up, you finish them quiet, maybe a little shaken, and you sit there for a minute before you say anything. That’s the kind of movie I wanted for this list, the ones that stay serious from the first minute to the last (and make you suffer somehow).
