As important as first impressions are, when it comes to movies, it's typically last impressions that matter most. An ending can make or break a film altogether. Whereas an unpredictable, satisfying, and emotionally compelling conclusion can cement a movie in the annals of film history, one that misses the mark can make even the greatest of films lose an awful lot of their power right before the finish line.
