We know all K-dramas have always had the ability to hit the sweet spot for long-term viewing. Long episodes that end with cliffhangers and help viewers immerse themselves in the characters' world could be less categorized as exciting and more addictive, though that sort of addictiveness is fun in itself. That formula hasn't changed until today, except the episodes got shorter and the stakes higher.
