There is a reason Back to the Future still feels like the GOAT of sci-fi adventure. Nearly everything about Robert Zemeckis' 1985 movie works. The time-travel premise is ingenious without becoming homework, Michael J. Fox makes Marty McFly impossible not to root for, and Christopher Lloyd created one of cinema's great oddball characters in Doc Brown. More than 40 years later, it still flies by.
