It is a sad fact of cinema that there have been many great films over the decades that have been lost to time. It is also true that there have been plenty of movies that have delivered stories and themes that were years ahead of their time. Surprisingly, it is true that there exists an overlap between these two points: an abundance of engrossing and thought-provoking films that were forgotten decades ago and yet perfectly comment on issues and ideas of the modern day.
